Manchester United drawn against Sevilla in the Europa League

In yesterday’s Europa League quarterfinal draw, Manchester United has been placed against Sevilla. This will turn out to be a repeat of the semifinals of the 2020 edition of this tournament.

United have previously won the Europa League in 2017 under Jose Mourinho. This time around, Sevilla will be the fourth Spanish outfit to go against Manchester United who has already gotten past FC Barcelona and Real Betis in the knockouts and Real Sociedad in the group stages. Sevilla on the other hand, are no strangers to the tournament having been crowned Champions a record six times.

Erik ten Hag will look to win his second title in charge of Manchester United after winning the Carabao Cup earlier this season. If the Red Devils advance to the semifinals, they will face either Juventus or Sporting Lisbon to reach the final in Budapest.
