Vicky Losada has left Manchester to join Roma
Man City midfielder Vicky Losada has decided to call her time at Manchester City. The former Barca Femini player has now moved to Italy to Roma after 18 months with the Sky Blues.
The Spanish International joined the Manchester Outfit back in the summer of 2021. She came after a fruitful career at Barcelona, where she won the Catalan women their first Champions League Title and that too as the captain.
Since arriving at the Etihad, Losada has managed to make just 12 appearances in the WSL. In her debut season under Gareth Taylor, she netted thrice. However, her second campaign was brought to end due to an injury that allowed her just 2 games all season.
What did Losada say about her stay at the Etihad?
In a farewell message on Instagram, Losada wrote: “Thank you to the club, staff, and all the workers at Manchester City for these last 2 years, you’ve been great to me since day one.”
“Thank you to all the fans that have been supporting us every game and helping the growth of women’s football, you are a key part of this. And finally, thank you to all ma chicas for all the memories together, keep showing your talent and being yourself.”
Her new club, Roma, as for in the Champions League, and has secured a spot in the quarterfinals after finishing second to German club Wolfsburg in their group.
