Magic Johnson spoke about the Lakers’ acquiring D’Angelo Russell

D’Angelo Russell is a powerful defensive point guard who has been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of the trade deadline and will take the Lakers to great heights in the coming season. He has averaged 17.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game this season. 

Fans were excited after D’Angelo Russell’s trade to the Lakers, only if they could manage to keep him in the team for a long time, he will bring the best to the table. It is explicit that the team’s offense works best with Russell’s skills and performance.

Magic Johnson praised D’Angelo

Lately, Magic Johnson spoke to Bryan Kalbroski about D’Angelo Russell’s addition to the Lakers. He expressed his optimistic thoughts about the point guard joining the team.

“I think D’Angelo has really grown and matured. He can score the basketball. He can pass the basketball. He doesn’t turn it over a lot. That’s what I like about him, too. That pick-and-roll with Anthony Davis is going to be special… If the Lakers can get in, and I think they will, nobody is going to want to play them. That’s for sure.”
