LSU Gymnast Olivia Dunne Cheering for Tigers in College World Series Final
The LSU Tigers are getting really close to winning the big baseball championship at the College World Series. They have a tough series coming up against the Florida Gators, but they’ve got lots of LSU fans cheering them on in Omaha.
One of those fans is Olivia Dunne, a gymnast from LSU. She’s been going to the games at Charles Schwab Field all week long. Olivia shared some pictures from the Tigers’ win over Wake Forest on her Instagram, and her post got almost half a million likes in less than a day. She wrote “Geauxmaha” to show her support for the team.
LSU has a really awesome baseball program with a long history of doing well. They’ve been to the NCAA Tournament and the College World Series many times. Some of their players have even made it to the big leagues like Major League Baseball. You might recognize names like Alex Bregman, Aaron and Austin Nola, DJ LeMahieu, and Jake Fraley.
LSU’s final series against the Florida Gators starts on Saturday. LSU has won more games against the Gators, with 66 wins compared to Florida’s 52. The Tigers are hoping to win their seventh national championship in Omaha, and it would be their first win since 2009. Olivia Dunne’s support, along with all the other fans, is giving them a big boost as they try to bring home the trophy.
