LSU Greg Brooks Jr Went Through Emergency Surgery To Remove Brain Tumor

LSU safety Greg Brooks Jr. had an emergency surgery this Wednesday to remove his brain tumor.

The news was announced by Greg’s family who told the reporter that Brooks underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor.

According to the family member, Brooks was diagnosed last week with a large brain tumor and that had to be removed. They also stated that they’re awaiting for biopsy results after the surgery and only asking for prayers from the Football community.

The Brooks family statement reads,

“Greg Jr. was diagnosed last week with a large brain tumor that required emergency surgery. Doctors successfully performed the procedure Friday to remove the mass, and we are awaiting biopsy results.”

The statement continued,

“We are grateful for the work and care of the medical staff helping Greg through these challenges and for the concern and love poured out by so many in the Louisiana, Arkansas, and national sports communities. This means the world to us at this difficult time”

As they shared their gratitude for all the support and love they got from Louisiana, Arkansas, and national sports communities. and requested from every football fans to keep Gerg in their prayers.

“Greg continues to fight, and we await further clarity on the extent of that battle. His incredible strength of character gives us confidence, but we also know that he needs our support now more than ever. Please keep Greg and our family in your prayers.”

On Monday, Golf community also devastated by the PGA Tour golfer Gary Woodland who underwent through a brain tumor surgery on Monday. Now the college football community has to share this painful news for such a young talent Greg Brooks.

Before joining the LSU Tigers as defence, Brooks had played college football in Arkansas. He emerged as a major key roll in the Tigers.
