Urias, 27, was booked late Sunday and released early this morning on $50,000 bond.
This marks the second time that Urias has faced allegations related to domestic violence. He previously got suspended in 2019 because of an investigation into domestic battery.
In terms of baseball, Urias has won 11 games and lost 8 this year. He currently holds a 4.60 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. Despite this incident, the Los Angeles Dodgers remain one of the top-performing teams in the National League, and they’re in the race for the best record.
This arrest raises important questions about how the Dodgers will deal with the Urias situation for the second time. It’s an unfolding story we’ll be closely watching.
