Liverpool is in dire need of bolstering their back line. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been poor in defense, both in the league and in Europe. The Reds currently sit sixth in the league, but had been struggling in the mid table for the most part of the season. In the Champions League, they were battered 6-2 on aggregate by Real Madrid, which included a 5-2 thrashing at Anfield.
In an attempt to rebuild their back-line, the Reds are looking to acquire the signing of Evan Ndicka from Frankfurt. The French center-back’s contract is set to expire in the summer, meaning that he can join Liverpool for free. Thus, Ndicka is a viable option for Liverpool who are looking for young blood and are unlikely to spend big on any signing.
The Frenchman has refused all offers of an extension and is free to walk away in the summer.
What will Ndicka offer Liverpool?
Ndicka is a 6’3″ tall center back who is a natural phenomenon in box. He is physical and is great in the air. A great option in the box both during defending crosses and providing an aerial threat when attacking with set pieces. He is good with the ball and exceptional when it comes to winning back the ball. Quick during interception and cutting passing lanes.
However, Liverpool will have to fight for Ndicka’s signature considering they face fierce competition from some of the biggest clubs in Europe. It is reported that the 23-year-old has numerous clubs such Barcelona, Arsenal, Spurs, and PSG all keen on getting his signature.
