Legendary Coach Lisa Bluder Will Remain In The Iowa Women Basketball For This Decade Ends
Iowa Women’s Basketball program announces its decision on the legendary Lisa Bluder.
For the past 23 years, Lisa Bluder is the head of the Iowas Women’s Basketball Program. and she is been taking good care of it. On Friday, in her recent contract extension, it’s been settled that Lisa will be in charge of the Basketball program until the end of this decade.
Iowa Women’s Basketball Program announced that they have extended Bluder through 2029. They took this decision after their most successful season in program history – a 31-7 record that included a runner-up finish in the NCAA Tournament.
62-year-old Lisa Bluder has the most winnings coaches in women’s basketball history and is the winningest coach in Iowa history. With a few more wins and Bluder will be in the top 11 in women’s basketball history.

The three-time Big Ten titled coach of the year Lisa began her coaching career at St. Ambrose University before she moved to Drake and then ended up caching Iowa Hawkaye basketball team. She was also the Naismith National Coach of the Year in 2019.
Lisa Bluder will be looking forward to leading her team in the national championship at the helm.
