LeBron James Writes NBA History As The Second Player To Accomplish This
LeBron James continues his success towards breaking the record, as he scores 38,000 career points in NBA history in a game between the Philadelphia 76ers and LA Lakers on Sunday. He successfully joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to transcend 38,000 points.
The 38-year-old is among the top ten players of the NBA, a four-time NBA champion. He is a phenomenal player, as he writes history by being the second player to score 38,000 career points.
LeBron crossed the scoring mark and became the second player in NBA history to do it. He gave the Lakers a 20-17 lead and also performed exceptionally well by giving a 20-foot jumper shot.
James’ Victory At His Loss
He achieved this milestone but lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 113–112. James finished with 35 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists, running behind Joel Embiid’s 35 points and 11 rebounds.
James’ record-breaking jumper was in the first quarter, 8 for 9, starting with 16 points.

“It’s just frustrating to get into those positions and not be able to come out with the victory,” James said. “We got the stop, gave ourselves a chance to win, and didn’t execute. … We’re playing good basketball. We’re just not winning games.”

The Lakers won five games and lost three, which frustrated LeBron. He barely talked about reaching 38,000 points. But his achievement is worth remembering.
