LeBron James gave a shout-out to Russell Westbrook following his trade to Utah Jazz
The NBA trade deadline always seeks the attention of NBA fans as they get to see some of the best and most surprising deals in the last-minute blockbuster trade. This year the trade deadline was not very different from the previous one, as the fans got to see some of the craziest deals.
Coming to that, one such deal was Russell Westbrook’s trade to the Utah Jazz in the three-team deal. The Los Angeles Lakers supported their roster with D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Malik Beasley in exchange for Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook’s time with the Lakers
Though Rus’ time with the Lakers was not very utopian, he shared some good moments in the Purple and Gold Jersey. With all that in his mind, LeBron James pointed out the departure of Russell Westbrook and the new-look Lakers’ victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
“First of all, I shout out and salute the guys that left, Russ, Pat, JTA. Also, DJ and Thomas. Those five guys. We all started the season together and tried to work to make some things happen and be the best that we could be out on the floor. So I salute those guys and their commitment to us trying to be as good as we could be on the floor. And right now, I mean, I like the guys that we have coming in. I mean, it’s going to take some time for us to get to know one another, but I know that they play the game at a high level.”
King James gave Russell Westbrook a shout-out and salute, he also talked about the newly acquired players and lauded them for what they bring to the floor.
