LeBron James ‘Definitely disappointed’ for Kyrie
There is no doubt that LeBron James and Kyrie Irving desired to work together once more, but this time for the Los Angeles Lakers. During the Kevin Durant trade rumors in the summer and when Irving allegedly wasn’t sure whether he wanted to stay with the Nets after exercising his player option, rumors persisted all offseason.
Since the summer, LeBron James allegedly wanted the Los Angeles Lakers to sign Kyrie Irving. James tweeted the eyes emoji after Irving asked for a trade on Friday, making a not-so-subtle suggestion that he could be interested in reuniting with his old Cleveland Cavaliers colleague. Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy soon duplicated the image in the responses. However, once everything was said and done, Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks from the Los Angeles Lakers, and in a Monday interview with Michael Wilbon, the four-time MVP didn’t try to disguise his anger.
