Larry Fitzgerald, The Legendary NFL Wide Receiver Gets A Request From Andy Reid To Come Out Of Retirement

Andy Reid, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs Begging the Legendary NFL Wide Receiver to come out of retirement on the Let’s Go! Podcast along with Tom Brady.

Reid has always been the backbone of the Chiefs and still doing his best to increase the chances of the Chiefs winning their third Super Bowl by trying to recruit the retired legendary player.

During the talk with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray, Raid has revealed that he did his hardest to reach out to Fitzgerald – a future Hall of Fame wide receiver who has not played since 2020 – to join him in Kansas City.

“I’ve tried to hire Larry 15 different times. I begged him even when he was out for a year to come back. Come on!” Reid said.

That said, Raid isn’t the only one who had his eyes on Larry, Brady also said that he himself tried many times to convince Larry to join him.

Larry Fitzgerald was a really good wide receiver for 20 years. He made it to the Pro Bowl 11 times while playing for the Arizona Cardinals, which is second only to Jerry Rice, who was one of the greatest wide receivers ever.

After the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl in 2008 and their quarterback Kurt Warner retired in 2009, Fitzgerald and the team had a tough time for the next ten years. They only made it to the playoffs twice before Fitzgerald retired in 2020.

Now, Fitzgerald is 40 years old, and it’s unlikely he can make a comeback. But if someone makes him a good offer, you never know what might happen.
