Laporta spotted dancing as Camp Nou hosted Kings League
Camp Nou got Laporta on his feet, chants ‘anyone who doesn’t jump is a Madrid fan
The Spotify Camp Nou was host to the newly formed tournament, The Kings League. It was during the final four stage of the competition as the stadium held 92000 people in what was a grand fiesta. FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta was present in the stands as well and seemed to be having a good time.
What did Joan Laporta do?
During one such match, the Camp Nou crowd was heard chanting “anyone who doesn’t jump is a Real Madrid fan”. The President having heard this did not want the fans to think he was a Madridista. Thus, he got on his feet and jumped along with the Catalan crowd.
Meanwhile, hosting this event will earn Barca upwards of €2.5m in revenue. It was nothing compared to what the club earned hosting the El Clasico last week (around €8m). Nevertheless, it was better than having empty stands during the international break.
