Lakers news: LeBron James stated how many Lakers’ final 23 games he intends to play
The Los Angeles Lakers have had a rough year and with just 23 games left to play in the regular season, they will try to force their way into the Play-In Tournament. LeBron James, the Lakers star, appeared in the All-Star Weekend and stated his commitment to making this year’s playoffs. James said,
“These are 23 of the most important games of my career for a regular season. I’m going to figure out ways to make sure I’m available and on the floor for every single one of these 23 games.”
LeBron and his persistent injuries
King James has endured a lot of injuries this season and he recently injured his hand in the 2023 All-Star game. His sound health is important for the team’s success. Before the All-Star weekend, King James was sidelined due to his ankle injury that was still hurting him.
Nonetheless, James is dedicated to seeing the postseason, in his 20th year in the league. LeBron said,
“I want to make a push to make the playoffs.
I see myself not being kept out of the postseason two years straight. That’s not part of my DNA. We’re sitting here talking about the record, and things of that nature, but I’m more passionate about trying to make the postseason and give ourselves a chance to compete for another Larry O’Brien Trophy. That’s just who I am. That’s what I’m cut from.”
Let’s see if King James will be able to make it to the postseason without any injuries.
