Lakers MVP Is On Court: LeBron James Foot Is Recover Quickly
The Lakers got some good news when LeBron James returned to the court, but unfortunately, he’s still not ready to play games yet. Although LeBron participated in a shootaround before the Lakers’ game against the Pelicans on Tuesday, this doesn’t mean he’s ready to come back to the court soon. He was only shooting free throws, and according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there’s no update on when he’ll be able to return to playing.
Charania talked about this on The Rally on Tuesday afternoon, right after LeBron’s shootaround.
While it is good to know that LeBron is hoping to return to the court, it doesn’t change the fact that the clock is ticking as the season is coming to the end. The timing of his injury and the re-evaluation process has always suggested that he may not be able to return until the very end of the season. So, there was still a long way to go before he’s fully recovered and able to contribute to the team.
LeBron’s return to the court on Tuesday was just a small step in his rehabilitation process. Although he was putting a lot of effort to return as soon as possible, there is a limit to how quickly he can recover. Right now, it’s mostly a waiting game as he lets his body heal, which can be quite frustrating.
Despite LeBron’s absence, the Lakers have managed to improve their standings and are now in a good position to make it in for the playoffs games. However, there’s no denying that LeBron’s return would greatly benefit the team’s playoff aspirations. The team recognizes this, but they also understand the importance of not rushing his recovery. Although LeBron’s participation in shoot-around is a positive development, there’s still a long road ahead before he can fully return to the team. The ultimate goal is to have him back in time for the playoffs, and the team is taking the necessary steps to ensure his health and safety.
