Kevin Durant injury update, the Nets forward reveals his return date
The Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant has missed a lot of games till now. After missing the game against Boston Celtics, he has missed 11 straight games. Fans and the Nets are eager to see him playing.
Durant has been out since January 08 due to his knee injury. He got injured during the Nets‘ game against Miami Heat. There is news of his return back to the team. Durant himself confirmed that his ideal return target is before the All-Star break.
Durant on his podcast, the ETCs said, ”That would be a nice target point for me I guess, is the few games before the (All-Star game) to get my legs back under me. That’s in an ideal situation, then slide into the All-Star break back healthy, back on the floor.”
Durant’s return to the Nets
Durant’s recovery from the MCL sprain was a long one. But his return seems certain this All-Star weekend. As per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Durant can return to the team within a couple of weeks.
Woj said, ”I spoke with Kevin Durant’s business partner and manager, Rich Kleiman, tonight and he tells me KD remains hopeful that he can return and play on All-Star weekend. He certainly wants to be a part of the All-Star, that’s February 19th. He likes the way his rehab is going, how he looks on the court, and most importantly, how he feels.”
Hopefully, Durant will make a return soon and will be back before the All-Star Weekend. This is going to be exciting for the fans, as they will get to see both the superstars, Kyrie Irving and Durant together.
