Kentucky’s 5-Star Freshman Could Miss a Few Games of the 2023-24 Season

Bad news for Kentucky Wildcats basketball fans! One of their talented new players might not be able to start the upcoming college basketball season.

According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Aaron Bradshaw, who’s a towering seven feet tall, has injured his foot and might have to sit out a few games at the beginning of the 2023-24 season.

But don’t worry too much! Kentucky is hopeful that Bradshaw will recover fully from the injury, even if it means he misses some games as a freshman.

Bradshaw is a highly-rated player from New Jersey, and experts believe he could be one of the top picks in the 2024 NBA Draft. He’ll be joining other talented recruits like D.J. Wagner, Robert Dillingham, and Justin Edwards, making this one of the best groups of players Coach John Calipari has brought in recently.

In the past few years, Kentucky relied on experienced players like Oscar Tshiebwe, Jacob Toppin, and Sahvir Wheeler. But this year, it looks like they’re going back to their tradition of having a team led by talented freshmen, which is what Wildcats fans love to see.

Basketball can be tough on players, especially those who are tall like Bradshaw. That’s why Kentucky is being careful and taking their time with his recovery.
