Kentucky Football Dismisses Vito Tisdale for Violation of Team Rules
The Kentucky football program has recently made a significant roster update, announcing the dismissal of defensive back Vito Tisdale for violating team rules. Tisdale, who had not played since his sophomore season in 2021, was a promising player for the Wildcats and was ranked as the No. 4 overall player out of Kentucky in the 2020 class.
The team took to Twitter to make the announcement, stating, “Roster update: Vito Tisdale has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules. We have no additional comment on the matter.”
After his dismissal, Tisdale himself posted a message on Twitter, though he did not elaborate on the situation.
Prior to his dismissal, Tisdale had a rocky sophomore season in which he was one of six Kentucky players charged with burglary in August 2021. Additionally, he was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment for allegedly pointing a firearm at an individual. However, all charges were later dropped, and Tisdale returned to the field for the 2021 season.
Unfortunately, Tisdale’s return to the field was short-lived, as he suffered a torn ACL that kept him out for the entire 2022 campaign. Details regarding his violation of team rules leading to his dismissal have not been disclosed.
While the dismissal of Tisdale is certainly a blow to the Kentucky football program, the team will undoubtedly move forward and continue to work toward success on the field.
