Kante and Pulisic return from injury
Chelsea receives an injury boost with Kante and Pulisic
In some desperate times for the club, Chelsea is now relieved to have both Ngolo Kante and Christian Pulisic back from injury. The duo has returned to group training and will definitely add much-needed quality to the roster.
THE BIGGER PICTURE:
The news was confirmed by the club’s website following the 2-0 loss against Tottenham. The French midfielder has been out since the start of the season and has hurt his hamstring. Meanwhile, the USMNT winger was out since January with a knee injury.
AND WHAT’S MORE:
The Evening Standard reported that Pulisic might return before the game against Leeds United. However, Kante will need time to return to full fitness. Their return to the squad means that the only players on the injury list remain are Armando Broja and Edouard Mendy.
WHAT NEXT FOR CHELSEA?
Potter has been struggling to find the rhythm and gel together with the huge roster. However, the return of Pulisic may add a much-needed spark to the team. Chelsea is desperate for a win since Potter is reported to have given a two-game period to earn the club’s trust. Thus, it is made or broken for the manager being winless in the last 18 games.
