Josh Allen says that he does not need surgery on his right elbow
The Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen says that he does not need any surgery and just rest will do. He sustained an elbow injury in the Week 9 loss against the New York Jets. He did not miss any games but the injury affected the way he threw the ball for quite some time.
Allen says about his elbow injury
Allen talked about his elbow injury as he said, “There was a period obviously right after for a few weeks where it was pretty bothersome. But again it didn’t affect me all that much. I just kind of felt like maybe I was trying to throw it a little differently mechanically, had to change a few things, and got away a little bit from how I’m used to throwing the ball.”
He told how the injury affected his performance in the second half of the season. But regarding his surgery, he said, “We don’t think an operation is necessary at this time. Obviously, rest and recovery is going to be really good for it.”
There might be a significant impact of the injury on the quarterback, but he has made it clear that he does not need surgery. Rest and recovery will make him fit.
The Buffalo Bills coach, Sean McDermott, told the reporters that Allen’s elbow needed much care and attention earlier, but now it is not a matter of concern. The real concern was the Bills’ defeat by the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday’s divisional round.
