Jon Rahm is in early discussions to join LIV Golf, but he wants the league to change its format: Reports
Jon Rahm has been connected to LIV Golf since the league’s establishment, although he has yet to confirm the transfer. Rumors now say that the golfer is on his way to the Saudi-backed series, with the delay owing to the league’s present setup.
Rahm is in late-stage discussions to join LIV Golf, according to Flushing It Golf. The Masters champion is allegedly lobbying to change the league’s framework.
While it is unclear what modifications he is advocating, the article indicates that any changes to the series will require the consent of current LIV team leaders and officials. According to the rumor, the hold-up for the Spaniard joining Greg Norman’s series is not financial.
On Wednesday, Flushing It Golf posted on X (previously known as Twitter):
“Jon Rahm is in late-stage talks to join LIV Golf, and it’s believed the hold-up is not financial, but due to his desire to change the league’s format.” Any modifications would require the agreement of all team captains as well as the league itself. This makes discussions tough, but they are heating up.”

Jon Rahm has won four PGA Tour events this year, including the Masters. The American circuit would suffer a significant blow if the 29-year-old moved to LIV.
It’s also worth noting that Rahm has previously praised compatriot Sergio Garcia, who plays for LIV Golf with Eugenio Chacarra and David Puig. Fans have frequently stated that Rahm would be the ideal Spaniard to round out the Fireballs GC lineup.
