Finally, Jon Jones as known as Bones among his followers will make a comeback, and his supporters are ecstatic to see their favorite fighter once more. On March 4, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jones will debut a new iteration of himself at UFC 285. Jones’ long-awaited comeback against Ciryl Gane will fight for the vacant Heavyweight belt. Jones will be making his divisional debut and facing off for the first time since he defeated Dominick Reyes by unanimous decision in February 2020.

When Jones first arrived at Heavyweight, he was supposed to face the toughest opponent. Francis Ngannou, the former champion, sadly no longer works for the promotion due to a contract issue, making a Jones matchup in the future all but impossible.

Bones made a statement

During his recent interview Jon Jones stated “I stopped studying footage as much, I started just looking forward to another day at the office,” he added “The fear was gone, I didn’t really fear these guys. I wasn’t happy with my pay, either. I was starting to fight guys like Reyes who had been dreaming of fighting me since college and he was just relatively unknown to the general public. So, I just wanted more. I wanted to be nervous again. I wanted to have fear again. I think fear is healthy and now we’re in this position.”
