Johnson calls Victor Wembanyama “the best player in the world” vs. how fans react to it

The greatest point guard, Magic Johnson, praised the No. 1 draft pick of this year’s NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama. The former Lakers legend called Wembanyama”the best player in the world.”

He might have felt nostalgic after seeing Victor Wembanyama, as he became one of the top players in the league after being the first overall pick in 1979. Wembanyama is expected to be the same. The French player is very talented and is believed to change the fortunes of the team he is drafted by.

Fans’ reaction to Johnson’s post

Magic Johnson met Wembanyama in person and took the matter to social media. Johnson has done it a lot of times; he has played with words, and this time he calls Wembanyama the best player in the world. Though he is very skilled, this is not completely true. He may prove to be one in the future, but he isn’t the best player yet.

Victor plays with the French club Metropolitans and is averaging 21.4 points, 3.2 blocks, and 9.4 rebounds per game. What makes him different is his ability to shoot beyond 3-point range. He might reach fans’ expectations soon, barring any injury.
