Johnny Manziel’s Father Express his Thoughts on His Alleged Suicide Attempt
Johnny Manziel, an American football quarterback has revealed a piece of sad and shocking news about an incident involving his own life which has crumbled every one of his fan’s hearts.
In a new Netflix documentary about his life, the Former Heisman trophy-winner revealed that he may have attempted to take his own life and shared all the details related to the event.
According to all he shared, it was understandable why he did what he did. He was really going through a lot. In NFL 2015 season, Manziel’s downward spiral began with drug abuse and drastic weight loss then he was also traded by Cleveland Browns in March of 2016. And this wasn’t enough that he also had to deal with bipolar disorder later that year.
“I had planned to do everything I wanted to do at that point in my life, spend as much money as I possibly could and then my plan was to take my life,” Manziel said.
“I wanted to get as bad as humanly possible to where it made sense, and it made it seem like an excuse and an out for me.”
Manziel’s father Paul reacted to his son’s description of events in the documentary.
“It’s been a long, long road, and I don’t know if it’s been great or it’s been bad — that’s kind of still up for debate,” said Paul Manziel.
“But we’re blessed. And he’s still with us. And we can mend all the fences still. I think Johnny’s got a lot better days coming than what he’s had.”
