Joel Embiid weirdest and craziest game of the season , 76ers’ win
The third quarter was when Ja Morant finally made his first field goal, while Jaren Jackson Jr. was having a poor shooting night. The Memphis Grizzlies were up by 11 points against the Philadelphia 76ers halfway through the fourth quarter, which is often terrible news for them when it happens.
The 76ers rallied to tie the game with 3:03 remaining in the fourth quarter on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center after Memphis had led for the majority of the game. A Tobias Harris 3-pointer in the final minute combined with a Joel Embiid breakaway dunk gave the 76ers a three-point lead with 23.3 seconds left.
The Boston Celtics legend would have been pleased with Embiid’s final stat line of 27 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, and 6 blocks in 38 minutes as he and James Harden (31 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists) rallied Philadelphia from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Grizzlies 110-105 in front of a boisterous sellout crowd. Despite falling down for almost the entire game, Philadelphia battled their way back. Moreover, Embiid’s performance on both ends of the court served as an example of how the game went for the 76ers as a whole.
Bane scored 25 points to lead the Grizzlies. Jackson ended 5-for-16 with 18 points, and Morant was 3-for-16 for 15 points. James Harden scored 31 points to lead the 76ers. The Grizzlies (35-23) lost their ninth straight away game, while the 76ers (39-19) have won five straight games.
