Broussard said, “There is scuttlebutt in some corners of the league that Embiid wants to go to New York. Now he’s not going to come out and say it because he doesn’t want that backlash from fans in Philly. There is scuttlebutt that he has his eye on New York.”

Important to note, that established NBA insiders like Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania haven’t confirmed this information yet, so it’s still speculation at this point.

Embiid is currently under contract with the 76ers for the next three years, and he has a player option for the 2026-27 season. Last season, he put up impressive stats, averaging 33.1 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
