Joe Burrow’s Status For Week 1 Has Been Revealed

NFL 2023-24 is just around the corner and all the training camps have already been started. Following all that, every team has already started making decisions on the players for the starting games, and according to the reports Bengals have already made decisions on Joe Burrow.

Burrow is one of the best NFL quarterbacks, but he has been suffering from a calf injury. Recently the head coach of the Bengals, Zac Taylor revealed that Joe Burrow is “progressing as he should” from his calf injury.

He also gave some hints to satisfy the question in many fans heart about whether he will appear in the first match or not.

While on “SportsCenter” this Saturday morning, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed that Burrow is expected to start for the Bengals in Week 1.

“People I’ve talked to do believe that for Week 1, he’ll be ready to go,” Fowler said. “That it would be hard for him to pass that up, that he’s trying to prepare himself to play, but Zac Taylor has said it’s probably going to be another several weeks. They’re taking this really slowly. It would be at least a mild surprise if he played in some of the preseason action, but we’ll see if it shakes out or if that calf perks up. It’s a calf strain, it’s something that he can manage and he’s slowly working his way back. Signs are pointing in the right direction. There’s no major setback that I’m aware of.”

For the Bengals, this is like a dream scenario coming true. Just this Friday, Burrow had a throwing practice before the Bengals’ first preseason game. It’s impressive because he’s not even fully healed yet, and he performed really well.

As the first game of the season gets closer, the Bengals will gather more information about Burrow’s condition and whether he’ll be ready to play in Week 1.
