Jets Sign Super Bowl Champ Chiefs Wide Reciever To Help Aaron Rodgers
The New York Jets have reportedly made a move to improve their team ahead of the upcoming NFL season by signing former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman. According to reports, the Jets have signed Hardman to a one-year deal, with a chance to make up to $6.5 million.
Hardman spent the last four seasons with the Chiefs after being selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. During his time in Kansas City, he won two Super Bowl rings, which is certainly an impressive feat.
Last season, Hardman, unfortunately, dealt with injuries, but the Jets are hoping that he will bounce back to full health and be a valuable asset to their team. At just 25 years old, he certainly has the potential to be an exciting addition to the Jets’ wide receiver room.
The Jets’ move to sign Hardman comes as they continue to work towards acquiring Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While Rodgers has not yet officially left the Packers, many NFL experts predict that he will eventually find his way to New York.
The Jets have been busy this offseason, rebuilding their roster and aiming to create a competitive team that can contend for a playoff spot. By signing Hardman, they have added another weapon to their offense and are showing that they are serious about winning.
It remains to be seen what other moves the Jets will make this offseason, but with a promising young quarterback in Zach Wilson and a solid group of players around him, they are certainly a team to watch out for in the coming season.
