Jemele Hill Calls Out Jets For Signing Trevor Siemian Over Colin Kaepernick
Former ESPN sports writer Jemele Hill called out the New York Jets for not signing Colin Kaepernick and chose veteran Trevor Siemian.
The Atlantic’s Jemele Hill has a question for the Jets on what basis they signed Trevor Siemian as quarterback for their practice squad.
Last Thursday, Colin Kaepernick wrote a letter to the Jets’ general manager, according to the rapper J. Cole who shared it on the X Twitter.
Cole mentioned in the post about Colin Kaepernick and his strong will to play in the NFL. He also revealed that Kaepernick gave his permission to share so the people would “know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play.”
But the Jets have God knows what’s going in their mind they chose Seimian over Kaepernick.
Prominent media personality Jemele suggested New York should sign Colin Kaepernick after Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending injury. Jemele seemed pretty upset about the Jets’ new QB decision and she took it to the X Twitter.
Hill said,
“The Jets instead chose to sign Trevor Siemian who:: checks notes:: is 31 years old, and hasn’t won a game since 2017. But sure, Colin isn’t playing because it’s a football decision,” Hill wrote.

Hill not only questioned the Jets QB decision but also backed up Kaepernick when the commenter brought up Colin’s unemployment and 2016 protest. Hill said,
“If only Colin Kaepernick had assaulted or abused a woman. Because it sure is interesting how they don’t care about backlash then, and how it might negatively impact their business.”
Jemele mentioned Kaepernick being the second-most highest Nike jersey seller in the NFL during his protest.

She said, “Need I also remind you, Kaep’s Nike merchandise sold out and during his protest, he had the second-highest jersey sales in the NFL. So is it really about business or about the fact NFL owners have chosen whose business they value more?”
Speaking of Colin Kaepernick joined the Raiders training camp last season and still training himself for the NFL. He hasn’t given up on his dream yet and so does Jemele.
Hill is the only person who is constantly backing up Kaepernick to live his dream once again.
The Jets’ new QB Trevor Siemian will be moving forward in the depth chart if Zach Wilson continues to struggle in upcoming games.
Only future games will tell how much the New York Jets are right about thier new QB.
