Jay Norvell Clear Up ‘Sunglasses’ Comment At Deion Sanders Before Buffs Vs Rams Game

Colorado State Coach Jay Norvell cleared up his ‘Sunglasses’ comment he made on Deion Sanders.

Colorado and Colorado State are going to face off in a few hours. Before that Rams coach Jay Norvell wanted to clear up things between him and Coach Prime.

Earlier this week Norvell made a remark more like a taunt on Deion Sanders.

Via On3.com, Norvell said,

“They’re tired of all that stuff. They really are tired of it. And I sat down with ESPN today, and I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them, ‘I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off.’ And I said, ‘When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off.’ That’s what my mother taught me.”

So many fans and people from the sports world thought Norvell was disrespecting Colorado’s Coach. In fact, no one bothered to ask Jay’s explanation except ESPN’s Rece Davis, who guessed it right.

According to Rece Davis’s Beliefs, Norvell was trying to send a message to his players. He was right though.

On Rece’s take on Norvell said,

“With all the media involved with this game, not one reporter asked me about my comments. One guy got it. I wanted to send a message to our players and how we run our program.”

On the other hand, Sanders already took the comment personally and sent a clear message to Colorado State and his coach. Sanders said,

“Why would you want to talk about us when we don’t talk about nobody? All we do here is work our butts off and do our job on Saturdays, but when they give us ammunition, they done messed around and made it worse. It was just gonna be a good game, but they done messed around and made it personal.”

Colorado Buffaloes face-off with Colorado State Rams is set for 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
