Jadon Sancho has earned his place as a starter in the EFL Cup Final
Ever since his return, Ten Hag has been carefully handpicking Sancho at the right moments. In their previous match, he made a quick impact after coming on from the bench. The Boss was not impressed with his side’s performance in the first half thus he brought on the winger as a sub.
Sancho made a great showing in the second half and kept United in the driver’s seat. The Englishman linked up with Bruno Fernandes to set up a beautiful team goal in the 61st minute.
Keane was all praise for Sancho and believes that the winger deserves a start against Newcastle in the Cup Final.
What did Roy Keane have to say?
“It was very good from the manager bringing Sancho on,” Keane told Sky Sports. “He played great, I think it was Sancho that changed the game. It helped.
“He brought a different dynamic to the game. He looks back at himself, he looks sharp. He played his way into the team for the final next week with that.”
Sancho has now racked up four goals this league season and he has picked up form at the right moment as the business end of the season approaches.
