“It Was An Unfortunate Circumstances,” Chase Elliot’s Reaction To Denny Hamlin’s Car Crash
The suspension of Chase Elliot from NASCAR past this weekend’s race at Gateway Motorsports Park has been over. He was allegedly accused of crashing the car of Denny Hamlin on Lap 186 of the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup series.
He explained what happened, and how he is moving on, looking forward to the upcoming Sonoma Raceway this weekend.
He said “Certainly it was an unfortunate circumstance on many accounts,” Elliott said of his crash with Hamlin. “I hate that we’re in the position that we’re in. It’s been a pretty wild year… I hate that I put our team and our partners and our fans and all the folks that make us go in a tough spot.

“Certainly glad that Denny’s okay and I understand NASCAR’s call and what they felt like they needed to do. So I respect all that… I’m looking forward to getting back to work and just trying to get in a groove.”
As it appears, Hendrick Motorsports driver Elliot not only missed this weekend’s race but also six races earlier this year 2023. But now he’s all set and ready to go.
