Is Golf Community Boycotting Trump’s Course From Major Championship

Another major golf tournament refused to be hosted at former U.S. president Donald Trump’s Course. Is the golf community boycotting Donald Trump?

Donald Trump has several golf courses in America and Europe. Over the years Trump’s controversial status has been creating problems for his golf course reputation.

Recently, the British Open Golf 2023, a major championship refused to consider one of Trump’s Turnberry, Scotland golf courses. The members of the British Open golf Community said they won’t consider it unless it’s all about the tournament. Via New York Times, Martin Slumbers, the chief executive of the R&A The Club of St. Andrews, said,

“Until we’re confident that any coverage at Turnberry would be about golf, about the golf course, and about the championship until we’re confident about that, we will not return any of our championships there.”

Pga Tour has also cut ties with Donald Trump’s courses. In an interview with Comeback.com, Trump said, “They love the courses. But I think they probably consider me a little bit controversial right now.”

However things are different with the LIV Golf, Trump’s New Jersey golf course at Bedminster is hosting a major LIV Golf tournament this weekend. And in October Trump’s Doral golf course in Florida will host LIV golf’s $50 million Team Championship.

Seems like Donald Trump’s courses found a new League to host the major golf events.
