This weekend, there’s a big football game between the University of Iowa (Iowa) and Iowa State University (Iowa State). They’ve been rivals for a long time.

Iowa had won six times in a row against Iowa State from 2015 to 2021, but they didn’t play in 2020 because of COVID-19. Last year, Iowa lost to Iowa State.

Seth Anderson, a player on Iowa’s team, thinks they can win this time. He talked to reporters on Tuesday and said he sees “a lot of opportunity” when he watches Iowa State’s defense on video. When asked what he meant, he just smiled and said “a good way.”

Iowa hasn’t been known for having a strong offense lately, but Anderson did well in his first game with them. In the first game of the season, he caught two passes for 41 yards and scored a touchdown. Iowa won that game 24-14 against Utah State.

The 70th game between Iowa and Iowa State will happen on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Right now, Iowa has won 46 times, and Iowa State has won 23 times in all their games against each other.
