Indian Wrestlers in WWE and Their Current Roles
India does not just have a fanbase of WWE but some Indians have made it to the WWE. The Great Khali, Jinder Mahal, and Mahabali Shera is the name a few of them. WWE India has so a strong fanbase that WWE Superstars like Sheamus, Big Show, Triple H, and Batista visited India for a meet-up and special live event too. In the past few years, WWE officials have visited India for a talent hunt and selected some new talent for a chance to become the next big thing in WWE.
Here’s a list of Indian Wrestlers who are currently working under the WWE:
1. Jinder Mahal
Jinder Mahal (Real name: Yuvraj Singh Dhesi) is a former WWE Champion, and United States Champion. Currently, he is working on WWE Show NXT as a leader of a stable (Indus Sher).
2. Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh Rajput performs under the ring name Rinku Singh and is a member of the WWE NXT stable Indus Sher (led by Jinder Mahal) where he performs and showcases his talent with the next-generation superstars of WWE.
3. The Great Khali
The Great Khali (Real name: Dalip Singh Rana) is a retired wrestler who was the first Indian to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title. He is the owner of CWE (Continental Wrestling Entertainment)
4. Mahabali Shera
Mahabali Shera (Real name: Amanpreet Singh Randhawa) is currently signed to Impact Wrestling Ohio Valley Wrestling. He had worked with WWE under a short-term contract in 2018.
5. Saurav Gurjar
Saurav Gurjar is a professional wrestler working on WWE NXT under the ring name Sanga. He is a member of the WWE NXT stable Indus Sher. He is an actor too acted in Indian TV Sitcoms and Bollywood.
6. Kavita Devi
Kavita Devi is an Indian professional wrestler who has worked on WWE NXT (2017-21). She is the first Indian female wrestler signed by WWE.
7. Dilsher Shanky
Dilsher Shanky (Gurvinder Singh Malhotra) is currently signed with WWE where he performs under the blue brand Friday Night Smackdown.
8. Jeet Rama
Satender Dagar is an Indian professional wrestler who has worked with WWE NXT under the ring name of Jeet Rama. He made his debut in a WWE live event held in New Delhi in 2016.
9. Bhupinder Singh
Bhupinder Singh Gujjar is currently signed with Impact Wrestling. He is trained by The Great Khali at CWE Academy, India.
