In College World Series, LSU Star Pitcher Stole Rival’s Pregame Meal
The Men’s College World Series Baseball 2023 winner LSU’s player Morgan shared some of the funny stories of the Premeal heist.
Morgan revealed that Thatcher stole the pitcher Rhett’s Premeal and ate the whole food in the meeting room. Prior to a pivotal game in the College World Series, LSU pitcher Thatcher Hurd stole a Wake Forest Lowder pregame meal. And he is not even joking.
Morgan said, “Thatcher gets his pregame meal and it says on DoorDash that his order is downstairs,”
He continues with the story, “There’s a guy with a little brown bag. Thatcher walks up to him and says, ‘Is this DoorDash for me?’ He says, ‘Yes, it’s for Rhett L.’ Thatcher takes the DoorDash and eats it in our meeting room. So, Rhett Lowder didn’t get his pregame meal.”
LSU Baseball coach Johnson posted on his Twitter wrote, “Let me clarify, that’s the only run we scored off him,”
LSU defeated Wake Forest by a score of 2-0, but Lowder went seven innings without giving up a run.
