Iconic Playboy Model and Bodybuilder, Lisa Lyon Fights Pancreatic Cancer in Hospice Care

Lisa Lyon, a famous model who once graced the pages of Playboy and made a mark in bodybuilding, is now in hospice care due to pancreatic cancer. She’s 70 years old.

You might remember Lisa from her groundbreaking appearance in Playboy back in 1980. She was one of the first bodybuilders to be featured in the magazine, and it was a big deal.

Recently, Lisa was moved to a hospice in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, because her condition is very serious. TMZ, a popular news source, reported this.

Lisa’s journey in bodybuilding reached its peak in 1979 when she won a major championship. Even though she only competed in two such contests, her impact on the sport was huge. She became a well-known figure in fitness, appearing in magazines and on TV. She even wrote a book called ‘Lisa Lyon’s Body Magic’ in 1981.

Famous actor and bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger, who many of you may know from movies like ‘Terminator,’ is a big fan of Lisa. He said, “She is the best. I love her.”

But Lisa’s influence went beyond bodybuilding. She inspired a character in Marvel comics called ‘Elektra,’ who’s an assassin.

Lisa also collaborated with a famous photographer named Robert Mapplethorpe, who took stunning pictures of her. They even made a book called ‘Lady Lisa Lyon’ together.

Lisa also tried her hand at acting and appeared in movies like ‘Three Crowns of the Sailor,’ ‘Getting Physical,’ and ‘Vamp.’

Even though she’s facing a tough battle with pancreatic cancer, Lisa Lyon remains a symbol of strength and determination. From her Playboy days to inspiring comic book characters, from her beautiful photographs to her acting career, Lisa’s life has been quite extraordinary.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Lisa’s friends and family during this difficult time.
