“I hope both teams lose,” Christian Caffrey to the Chiefs and Eagles
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey won’t likely be attending this weekend’s Super Bowl 57 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
It is obvious that McCaffrey, who played for the 49ers and fell to the Eagles in the NFC Championship game, is still upset about the outcome. The 26-year-old had just one wish for the next Super Bowl: that no team will triumph.
“I hope both teams lose,” McCaffrey said of the Chiefs and Eagles, per PFF. This shows his dismay over the playing of the two teams.
Every NFL player aspires to play in the Super Bowl, and for a player who hasn’t even made it there, let alone taken home the trophy, it’s difficult to go on after coming so close. Everyone believed San Francisco could seriously surprise Philadelphia.
McCaffrey is fully aware that his wish will not be granted. One team will be left standing at the conclusion of the game and will get the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Chiefs have previously prevailed and are aware of what it takes to win a championship, but the Eagles are extremely well-balanced and have some of the league’s top offenses and defenses.
McCaffery seems not to be interested in knowing about the game between the Chiefs and Eagles square off. Instead of learning anything about Super Bowl 57, he might choose to go on a date with Olivia Culpo.
