“I can’t wait,” says Paula Badosa, who is excited to join Carlos Alcaraz in representing Spain in the Hopman Cup 2024.
Former tennis player Iva Majoli disclosed on Instagram that Paula Badosa and Carlos Alcaraz would represent Spain in the 2024 Hopman Cup. She captioned a photograph of the two athletes:
“Happy to announce our first team for the 2024 Hopman Cup.”
Majoli’s story was retold by Paula Badosa, who added:
“Can’t wait”
Spain has a strong Hopman Cup record, having won it four times in 1990, 2002, 2010, and 2013. Badosa and Alcaraz will attempt to add a sixth Hopman Cup trophy to Spain’s collection. Spain was represented in the 2023 edition by Carlos Alcaraz and Rebeka Masarova, since Paula Badosa was unable to compete due to a back ailment. Their path to the finals came to an end in the round-robin round as Belgium and Croatia defeated them.
The 2024 Hopman Cup will be held at the Nice Lawn Tennis Club in Nice, France. This mixed tournament brings together male and female tennis players in an unusual structure, which contributes to its popularity as a fan favorite.
Fans are looking forward to seeing Badosa and Alcaraz in action as Spain prepares for the Hopman Cup in 2024. Their first-round opponents have yet to be determined.
