How to get the Poison Mist Spell in Elden Ring?
Elden Ring is an action-packed video game that offers players a variety of Spells and Incantations. One such Incantation is the Poison Mist Spell, which releases a fog of Poison build-up in front of the caster that can be used while in motion. The good news is that players can get this Incantation early on in the game.
Elden Ring: How to Obtain Poison Mist?
The Poison Mist is located in Limgrave, Weeping Peninsula, and is quite easy to obtain.
To get the Poison Mist, players need to head southeast after traveling to the bonfire and going through the broken walls.
They should then turn southeast when they come across some buried ruins and keep moving in the same direction. After a while, players will see an Elden Ring’s Teardrop Scarab in the distance.
They need to approach the Scarab and hit it immediately before it teleports away. If players are too late and the creature teleports anyway, they should search for it thoroughly as it does not move far.
Using long-range attacks like Sorcery or Arrows can be helpful, as the Tear Drops scarab can be killed from a long distance without triggering its teleportation ability.
What is the Poison Mist Incantation and where it belongs?
The Poison Mist belongs to the Servants of Rot, and those who remain in poison for a period of time are very familiar with rot. The Incantation also compares it to the cycle of rebirth, as it is death that brings forth life.
There are three other Servants of Rot Incantations in the game: Pest Threads, Poison Armament, and Scarlet Aeonia. Players can purchase the first two from Caelid, respectively, while the third can be obtained from Enia at the Roundtable Hold in exchange for the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess. To get this Incantation, Tarnished has to defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
One of the most significant features of the Poison Mist is that it’s perfect for sneak attacks, as it doesn’t alert enemies. Therefore, players can use it to get behind an enemy and keep casting the Spell until the foe’s HP drops to zero. Additionally, the Incantation is perfect for sleeping enemies like the Godskin Duo in Elden Ring, as it doesn’t wake the enemy up.
Wielding the Poison Mist isn’t challenging because it only requires 12 Faith and takes up one slot. The Spell consumes 10 Stamina and causes 10 Poison build-ups per tick.
The Poison Mist is an excellent Incantation for players who want to sneak up on enemies and take them out without alerting them. It’s easy to obtain early on in the game and has some interesting features that make it worth having. Elden Ring is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
