Lindsey Vonn, an Olympic gold medalist champion has long since retired from her sports career but her popularity both in the sports world and on social media hasn’t decreased a bit. She has been a star for a long time and her popularity is so huge that almost everyone knows her and whenever she posts something on her Instagram, it instantly goes viral. 

Vonn has more than 2.2 million followers on her Instagram and with her fanbase, it doesn’t take long for her photos to make headlines and this time is certainly no different. 

Recently Vonn posted some of her Hot Red Swimsuit photos on her Instagram and as expected, they were a huge hit getting a lot of likes and comments in a short time. 

Unfortunately, Vonn says her outing was ended by either a sting or bite from a jellyfish.

“I literally rode over it as I was getting up on the wake surfboard,” she said in her post on Wednesday. “Think it’s gonna leave a mark for a while…at least I caught some waves before!”

Vonn has been enjoying her retirement from competitive skiing since 2019. At that time, she made history by becoming the oldest woman to win a medal at the world championships, and she was 34 years old.

After retiring, Vonn got involved in sports ownership. She’s part of the ownership group for Angel City FC in the NWSL, along with other athletes and celebrities like Serena Williams, Mia Hamm, and Jennifer Garner.

During her skiing career, Vonn accomplished a lot, winning three medals in the Olympics and eight in the world championships.

When it comes to the world championships, she’s the third most decorated female skier in history, with three overall titles. She’s behind only Annemarie Moser-Pröll and another American, Mikaela Shiffrin.
