The report says that there will be several endings in the game, this time. People are making their opinions about having a dark path for the protagonist.

This game is supposed to have a “moral” system which going to be so much akin to the “reputation” system of many games. And it clearly means that if players somehow manage to reach a certain level, they could be able to unlock a “dark path” for their characters. Though there haven’t been any official announcements regarding this.

Do they actually have a “Dark Path”?

From the perspective of a Hogwarts Legacy player, the answer would be a no, there might not be a dark path for the players. This news may disappoint those who have been waiting to see the Wizarding world from the ‘bad guys‘ shoes or become the next Voldemort. But as seen in the trailer there is a ray of hope that they are providing “dark arts” which is mostly used by the antagonist.

Players can hope to have the opportunity to learn these dark spells for their characters. But according to the trailer, it is visible that the protagonist is some king or a “chosen one” who has some special powers to control the ‘elder magic’. But by the “chosen one” they do not mean that it will be a good one. The details are so foggy that one can only assume.
