Heinrich Haarberg will Be Nebraska’s Starting QB In Saturday’s Game Amid Jeff Sims Injury

Nebraska Cornhusker made a decision on starting QB for Saturday’s game against Louisiana Tech.

According to the ESPN Pete Thamel report, Heinrich Haarberg will be the starting quarterback for the Huskers on Saturday morning. Heinrich will start again this week as a quarterback amid Jeff Sims’s ankle injury.

Sims who suffered an ankle injury during the matchup against the Colorado, is still recuperating from it. Head coach Matt Rhule said Sims was progressing this late week.

On Thursday, Rhule said,

“Jeff’s had a good week of practice. Moved around well. Threw the ball around well. Coming off an injury like that I can’t say that he’s maybe 100 percent but you don’t notice that there’s anything wrong with him as he plays.”

Speaking of Haarberg who will start second time as starting QB. He started in last weekend’s win over Northern Illinois, running for 98 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries, while completing 14 passes for 24 yards for 158 yards and two touchdowns.

The decision on Nebraska’s future quarterback decision will depend on who helps the Huskers most in Saturday’s game.
