“He has great experience”- Paul Scholes says that Casemiro doesn’t get enough credit
Manchester United star Paul Scholes has rhapsodized about Red Devils midfielder Casemiro after his team’s stupendous win in the UEFA Europa League against Barcelona.
During the Europa League playoff on Thursday, the Red Devils came from behind to get a win over the Catalans. Second-half goals came from Fred and Antony, who brought a 4-3 win on aggregate. Fred and Antony were not the only players to bring home the victory, Casemiro also played a pivotal role in that.
Paul Scholes praises Casemiro for his passing
Scholes praised him for his impactful performance with the team. He also stated that Casemiro does not get enough contributions. Scholes said,
“Casemiro has been sensational. He has great experience, winning so many times with Real Madrid as well, and is invaluable to the younger players around the squad.”
“It’s almost like he’s a coach on the football pitch. You’ve seen the difference from when he’s come into the team and what he’s made [happen]. He has great experience and I don’t think he gets the credit for the way he plays.”
He also said that Casemiro’s range of passing is remarkable. Paul said,
“He is a really good passer of the ball, which surprised me a little bit when you think you saw Luka Modric and Toni Kroos as the playmakers at Real Madrid.”
