Gymnast Olivia Dunne Lives the Dream with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Feature
LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne has achieved something truly amazing by being featured in the prestigious Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. In an exclusive interview, Dunne expressed her excitement about the opportunity and shared the challenges she faced to make it happen.
Speaking at a special event on Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities hosted by On3, Dunne revealed the tough task of squeezing the SI photoshoot into her busy schedule. Normally, Sports Illustrated requires a whole week for the shoot, but Dunne’s college coach allowed her just one day.

Despite the time crunch, Dunne couldn’t contain her happiness. She said appearing in Sports Illustrated was the ultimate accomplishment, the result of all her hard work building a following on social media.
“It didn’t just happen out of the blue,” Dunne explained in an interview with OutKick. “I spent so many hours on social media, and they recognized that. I feel like they understood the message I try to share in my posts, that you’re more than just your sport. We were on the same page, and when Sports Illustrated reached out to me, it was a huge honor.”
Dunne believes that she, her mom, and her sister played a big part in making this dream come true through the power of positive thinking.
“My sister even made me a picture with the Sports Illustrated logo,” Dunne said excitedly. “She created a mental image and helped me envision success. You have to believe it before you can see it, and that’s something I truly believe in.”
