Ascend is one of the variants of Abilities in the game and it helps the player to climb up a high surface without wasting much energy and stamina. And, with this ability, players can pass the cave easily. But, you need to unlock this ability first in order to get all the benefits mentioned above. To unlock the Ascend Ability, follow these steps:

To unlock this ability, you need to solve a puzzle in the game. That puzzle is Gutanbac Shrine, which is located on the eastern side of the Great Sky Island. For your reference, I am providing you the coordinates also, – 0709, -1381, 1584. With the help of these coordinates, you can easily locate the Great Sky Island. But, remember this place has cold vibes, so its better to carry cold resistance items like Spicy Peppers along with you.

Once you reach there, complete the Gutanbac Shrine challenge puzzle and only then you will be able to unlock Ascend Ability in the game.

Steps to Use Ascend Ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

To use this ability, press the L button and select it from the list. Once you select it, the camera will automatically turn towards the ceiling and you will see a green-circle there. Now, you can use it to swim through the cave easily. To do so, press the A button and use this ability. But, if you see a red circle instead of green one, then try this ability at some different location.
