Pokemon Go has a huge database of Pokemon (more than 800 Pokemon). There are multiple variations also available for many of them in the game. One such variation of a Pokemon is Shadow Mewtwo (a variation of Mewtwo). In this article, you will learn the best and simplest way to get Shadow Mewtwo on your team.

Introduction of Shadow Mewtwo in Pokemon Go

The first step in order to catch a Pokemon and add it to your team is through Pokeballs (shown in the image above). Shadow stands for the dark variation of a Pokemon in the game. Shadow Mewtwo is part of a leader’s team (Team Go Rocket).

To catch a Shadow Mewtwo and add it to your team, the player needs to defeat Giovanni (boss of the Team Go Rocket). There’s a rule in Team Go Rocket that says, if you have defeated a leader or the boss from the team, you can have one of their shadow Pokemon as a reward. And, the strongest Shadow Pokemon in the team, ‘Shadow Mewtwo’ is led by Giovanni. But, remember you need to have strategies in order to defeat The Boss of Team Go Rocket.

Here are the tips for you that will help in defeating Giovanni:

First, the player needs to complete the Special Research for the particular task. It will reward you with Super Rocket Radar. You can use this special item to search for Giovanni anytime and then can take the benefit of taking Shadow Mewtwo from him. And, once you do this successfully, the Shadow Mewtwo will never go back to Giovanni again.
