And, In This Article, I am providing you with a guide to finding and defeating the sleeping dragon in Elden Ring. By defeating the sleeping dragon, you will get around 74,000 runes and you can use them in many ways.

Overview of Benefits of Killing Sleeping Dragon

There are not so free-to-play activities in the game that rewards you with runes and that’s why this activity has become a popular way to earn runes in the game. Killing a sleeping dragon is quite easy than killing a fighting dragon as it doesn’t move when you attack him. But, to kill this sleeping dragon and get rewarded with runes, you need to locate him. Here’s the location guide:

Where to Find Sleeping Dragon in Elden Ring?

Sleeping Dragon Location

To find the sleeping dragon, the players need to go first to the dangerous region of Caelid (a reddish landscape region, found to the east of Limgrave). Be Careful as when you reach there, you will be welcomed by General Starscourge Radahn with his army waiting for you. They can kill the player in just a couple of hits. So, better not to face them and move directly to the central part of the region, south of the Minor Erdtree. There you will see Fort Faroth at the northernmost top of Caelid, and the dragon is just behind the fort.

When you go there, you will have to cross a Deep Siofra River Well Site of Grace. And, then you will reach directly to the sleeping dragon (aka, The Elder Dragon Greyoll).

How to Kill Sleeping Dragon in Elden Ring?

Now, you need to have a bleedy weapon or poisonous weapon with you. It will help you to kill the dragon with ease. When you hit him, his health goes down faster. If you don’t have these weapons with you, no need to worry as there is another way to kill him. You need to kill five small dragons in the surrounding (these are the five kids of Sleeping Dragon), with every kill, the dragon’s health will reduce by 20%. And by this way after killing all five kids of him, you can eliminate him from the game.

And, as I mentioned above in the beginning, once you kill/eliminate the sleeping dragon, you will receive 74,000 runes as a reward.
