Golfers to hear strange noises at US Open coming from Playboy Mansion at LA Country Club!
The 123rd edition of the US Open will be held in Los Angeles, California. It will be starting from 15th – 18th June. and you cna expect all kinds of enjoyment at the event. What’s more, the venue is just down the street from the world-infamous Playboy Mansion.
The fun part doesn’t end here. The players will also have to deal with the strange noises of screeches from Hugh Hefner’s former crib.
The source behind these screeches sound is that there is still a zoo with monkeys, cockatoos, peacocks, and other animals that make a lot of noise.
Hefner sold the mansion to Daren Metropoulos just before he passed away in 2017 when he was 91 years old. Since then, Metropoulos has been using the mansion for “corporate activities.” The new owner bought the property for $100 million (£79 million) and pledged to maintain the zoo.
It seems like Metropoulos kept his promise because golfers say they can still hear noises like squeals, roars, and groans coming from the property.
This might cause a problem for Rory McIlroy and other players when they have to hit their first shot on the 14th hole, which is a par-5 hole, this week. The game is scheduled to begin at 12 pm UK time on the first two days and at 3 pm on the weekend.
