Golfer Billy Horschel Helps To Detain Just Stop Oil Protester At The Open
Golfer Billy Horschel helped to detain the “Just Stop Oil” protester from the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool Golf Club today.
Billy Horschel might not be doing wonders on the Open Championship leaderboard with the T95 position. But Horschel made an impact today by protecting the game from the environmentalist protesters part of the Just Stop Oil’ movement.
After Wimbledon attacks twice in a day, “Just stop Oil” protesters reached the 151st Open championship. But PGA Tour Golfer Billy Horschel’s quick reflexes saved the game. On the 17th Hole, protesters made their move towards the green and were spotted by Billy.
Before she could do anything Horschel grabbed one of the protesters and led her to the security guard. However, Billy Horschel refused to talk about that subject after the game was over.

Tournament organizers released a statement about protesters,
“A protester was quickly apprehended on the 17th hole and is one of four people who have been arrested by the police. Play was not disrupted and we would like to thank the marshals, players, and other spectators for their vigilance and understanding as the protesters were removed.”
